Robert & Billie will be making its Nicodemus premiere at this year’s Nicodemus Homecoming Emancipation Celebration! It’s an honor to have the film screen in Nicodemus, KS, where this whole love story began. The film will screen several times on July 29, from 5pm to 7:30pm at the First Baptist Church. The short documentary will screen alongside other Nicodemus-related video work, including the trailer for the highly anticipated “Ellis Trail to Nicodemus” documentary! Stop by this western Kansas party and join the fun!
Last Saturday, Robert & Billie screened alongside Oscar Micheaux’s Body & Soul at the Free State Festival in Lawrence, KS! In tandem with the festival, the film subject and star (MSgt Robert Brogden Sr) celebrated his NINTIETH birthday alongside family and friends at The Oread Hotel! A major thanks to the festival and its audience for their warm hospitality, engaging questions, and joining in on a chorus of “Happy Birthday!” 🥳🌈🥳
