Robert & Billie has been selected for the Free State Festival in Lawrence, KS! The short documentary will screen before Body & Soul, a silent-era masterpiece directed by the legendary Oscar Micheaux! Body & Soul will feature live musical accompaniment from Paul “DJ Spooky” Miller, who composed a new score for the film as part of its recent restoration by the George Eastman Museum. This festival will also feature new work from some current legends like Boots Riley and Kevin Willmott.
The screening will take place at 8:00 pm CDT on July 1 at the Lawrence Arts Center in Lawrence, KS. Tickets are available here!
